Durable custom wrought iron railings, gates and fences for Scarborough homes, from the Bluffs to Agincourt.
Scarborough has a large stock of post-war bungalows and side-splits, along with newer homes in Malvern and the Rouge area and lakeside properties along the Scarborough Bluffs in Cliffcrest, Guildwood and Birch Cliff. We design custom wrought iron railings, gates and fences for all of them.
Front step and porch railings are the most common Scarborough projects, often replacing older railings that have rusted or loosened. Many homeowners also add sturdy iron handrails to make steps safer for aging parents, and fences and gates for security and privacy.
As part of the City of Toronto, Scarborough projects follow Toronto's building and fence rules. Every railing is powder-coated and installed by our own team.

Local answers for Scarborough homeowners planning wrought iron railings, gates and fences.
Yes. We remove the old railing, check the condition of the steps and porch, and install a new custom wrought iron railing anchored into solid concrete or stone. If the old anchor holes are damaged, we drill new ones or use base plates. The new railing is powder-coated, which protects it far better than the paint used on many older railings.
Absolutely. A sturdy, easy-to-grip handrail is one of the simplest ways to make steps safer for older family members. We can add handrails on one or both sides, extend them past the top and bottom steps, and use profiles that are comfortable to hold with gloves. See our hand railings page for options.
It depends on the project. Replacing an existing railing on the same steps often does not need a permit, but new decks, balconies, raised porches and below-grade entrances usually require a building permit from Toronto Building. Fences are governed by the City of Toronto's fence by-law, which limits heights (typically lower in front yards than back yards), and pool enclosures must meet the pool by-law, including self-closing, self-latching gates. Scarborough is part of the City of Toronto, so fences and pool enclosures follow the Toronto Municipal Code. We check the rules for your address during the consultation and design to them.
We serve all of Scarborough, including Guildwood, Agincourt, Cliffcrest, Malvern, West Hill, Birch Cliff, Wexford, Highland Creek and Scarborough Village, plus nearby Pickering, Markham and the rest of Toronto.
